Webcasts of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche teachings is a unique opportunity to receive from the Master not only the direct transmission, but also profound oral instructions, and lungs on a variety of secondary practice which may be useful and effective in certain circumstances. Morever, this is all done in real-time through the Internet, while at that moment the Teacher is in another part of the world.
Namkhai Norbu travels a lot on the invitation of the disciples and gives the teaching in different countries around the world. But not all interested people have the opportunity to visit the retreats as often as they would like to. Therefore, Webcast system was established in 2004 to ensure that everyone can get the precious teachings, regardless of their location. Today almost every retreat conducted by Chogyal Namkhai Norbu is broadcasted via Internet. Of course, when possible, the best way to get the Teaching is to visit the Rinpoche’s retreats personally. However, if there is no such a chance, the Webcast is a full-fledged way to get the teaching and transmission from the Master.
There are closed and open webcasts of the Teachings. Open webcasts do not have any access limitations – anyone who is interested in Dzogchen teachings, can freely listen to this webcast. Such webcasts usually give an overview of the main principles and aspects of the Dzogchen teachings. Access to closed broadcasts where usually the deeper levels of the Teaching are give is available only for the members of the Dzogchen Community.
Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche gives the Teaching in English. Still, the webcasts are accompanied by a parallel translation into Russian, French, Spanish, Italian, Hungarian, Czech, and Chinese, which makes the Teaching even more accessible. You can listen both to the original audio stream without translation, and to the stream with quality Russian translation, which is constantly organised by Russian-speaking Dzogchen Community.

Lots of people listening to webcasts have a sincere desire to make an offering to Rinpoche for receiving precious teachings. This is not easy if the retreat is held in another country or on another continent. For such cases the Webcast Supporting Fund was set up. Also, the Fund was organized to collect money for technical support of webcasts, to improve the quality of the signal, the stability of the connection, offerings for translators (without whose help many, many of us wouldn’t be able to understand what Master says) and for the development of the project generally.
